Golf

Mandelieu-la-Napoule is a capital of golf on the French Riviera. Two famous world Golf Clubs are situated in this city.

The first one, Golf Old Course Cannes-Mandelieu, is visited by approximately 60 thousand players per year. Golf course with 18 holes of 5749 metres and 9 holes of 2118m was built in 1891. It enjoys an excellent reputation and has become the venue for tournaments on an international scale.

The second course Golf Mandelieu-Riviera was opened by American Senior Robert Trent Jones in 1991. On the land of 5313m x 71m you can find a lot of technically complex and hard-to-reach lawns, located around the holes.

In the “Academie De Golf David Leadbetter” you can get private courses from the most world famous golf teacher David Leadbetter.

Water sports

Mandelieu is a paradise for “water treatment” lovers. There are 2 nautical and 3 river ports in the city.

It is the only one resort on the French Riviera, which has the status of the national sailing city.

This is a great place for all fans of water attractions and sports: diving, fishing, water skiing, windsurfing and others. Every summer international rowing competitions are taken place here.

In the Rowing Club Cannes Mandelieu, you can get courses of rowing for beginners and even take part in competitions held on the river or on the sea.

There are three centres of watersports, offering the courses of windsurfing, sailing and canoeing.

Fishing Club

Napoulois of Mandelieu organizes year-round fishing.

Here you can fish for tuna from June to October (for adults); children of the age between 10 and 15 years can visit classes of fishing as well.

There are 4 diving centres in the city.

Tennis

Tennis fans can visit “Tennis Club de l'Argentiere”, football fans can play on the professional playground, hikers can climb the mountains during the summer season, and for velo fans there are special bike paths.

Winter sports

Also people come here to enjoy skiing during the winter:

- “ISOLA 2000” station is situated 90 km from Nice (90 minutes by car, 2 hours by bus or 25 minutes by helicopter). Altitude 1840-2610 m, total 48 routes with a total length of 120 km.

- “Valberg” station is located 86 km from Nice (45 minutes by car). The resort is situated at an altitude of 1670 m.
